Nairobi - Nairobi Hospital
Children’s HeartLink’s involvement in East Africa spans more than 20 years, and has evolved into our current partnership with Nairobi Hospital and its cardiac program.
Over the years, Children’s HeartLink has provided funding and support for a catheterization lab, on- and off-site training for numerous cardiac team members, a temporary residence for families of patients, assistance in forming a charitable foundation, financial support for needy patients, a rheumatic fever prevention program in four provinces, and critical medical supplies and equipment.
In the past year, Children's HeartLink provided financial support for lifesaving treatment of seven children at Nairobi Hospital. St. Jude Medical helped make this work possible through the donation of two mitral valves.
