The 2011 HeartLink Gala was a
record-breaking success!
The 2011 HeartLink Gala proved to be Children’s HeartLink’s most successful to date, raising approximately $765,000! Theresa and Richard Davis, Chairman, President and CEO of U.S. Bancorp, were outstanding honorary chairs, and Children’s HeartLink extends our most heartfelt appreciation to them and to all the partners, sponsors and volunteers that made the event so memorable this year.
Hosted by WCCO-TV’s Mark Rosen, guests enjoyed a Brazilian Carnival-themed event that included a cocktail reception, culinary silent auction, dinner, live auction and an evening of great entertainment:
- Brazilian Carnaval band Beira Mar Brasil
- Percussion ensemble Batucada do Norte
- Samba dancers Edilson Lima and Palloma Pimentel
Children’s HeartLink was honored to host guests of honor Dr. Ulisses Alexandre Croti and his wife Dr. Lilian Beani from our partner Hospital de Base in São José do Rio Preto, Brazil. Dr. Croti and Dr. Beani shared a moving account of how Hospital de Base, its medical professionals and the children of Brazil have benefitted from Children’s HeartLink’s partnership.
