Thank you for your interest in Children's HeartLink planned giving services. A planned charitable gift allows you to provide long term support for Children's HeartLink while meeting your current income needs and providing for your heirs. The financial benefits from a planned gift may include increased stream of income, immediate income tax deduction, reduced estate taxes and/or reduced capital gains taxes on appreciated assets. Planned giving is about meeting goals for you and for Children's HeartLink.
Your planned gift to Children's HeartLink is a lasting investment in our future. Please contact your financial planner to determine which vehicle might be right for you.
The most frequently made planned gift is a bequest. You can make a gift, without parting with your assets during your lifetime, by designating a specific percentage or asset in your will to Children's HeartLink.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A charitable gift annuity provides a guaranteed fixed income to you and/or your loved one for your lifetime(s) in exchange for your gift. Creating a gift annuity offers the ability to receive substantial tax benefits while supporting the work of Children's HeartLink.
When you set up a charitable remainder trust, it allows you and/or other designated beneficiaries to receive income from a trust for your lifetime(s) or for a period not to exceed 20 years. At the end of that time, the balance of the trust would pass to Children's HeartLink.
Gifts of Life Insurance
You can name Children's HeartLink as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy or purchase a new policy to benefit Children's HeartLink.
