On December 7, Children's HeartLink staff and volunteers from the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital participated in a one-day symposium on pediatric congenital heart disease sponsored by Beijing United Family Healthcare. Volunteers from the University of Minnesota presented on areas related to the interplay between cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery, treatment of CHD with hybrid technology in the OR and PICU management of newborns. Following the symposium, Children's HeartLink staff and staff from Beijing United Family Healthcare discussed the rise of philanthropy in China, Children's HeartLink's history in China and United Family Healthcare's philanthropic efforts in China.
