Before joining Children’s HeartLink as in-country India consultant, Veera Rajasekhar was a consultant to NGOs working in the areas of mental health and HIV/AIDS. In her current role, she works to maintain, deepen and strengthen relationships with Children’s HeartLink program partners in India, and to help develop India-specific communications and education materials. She also assists with the parent-support programs in India. Veera has more than 15 years of experience as a social work educator and practitioner. She has a postgraduate degree in social work with a specialization in medical and psychiatric social work from the University of Madras and a predoctoral (M.Phil) degree in psychiatric social work from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore.
