Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bangalore

Partnership Overview:
Since its establishment in 2002, Children's HeartLink has supported the goals of Dr. Devi Shetty and his team at the Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Cardiac Sciences in Bangalore to bring quality cardiac services to the children of the state of Karnataka and from all over India. The Narayana Hospital in Bangalore has become one of the centers of excellence for cardiac services in India. While Children’s HeartLink is no longer engaged in a formal partner site relationship with Narayana, we have worked closely with them since 2002 and throughout that time, we have seen steady growth in the number of children receiving pediatric cardiac services. Narayana is a premier institution providing pediatric heart care in India, and as such, a valuable partner for Children’s HeartLink in strengthening India’s pediatric cardiac care infrastructure. Children’s HeartLink provides financial support to the charity program at Narayana Hrudayalaya and over the next few years will work with them to implement the Parent Education Discharge Instructions and the formation of a regional parent/patient advocacy group for families who have children with congenital heart defects.
